Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She also serves as the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is well-known as the pioneer of modern-day scientific research of eyewitness accounts from children's memories and the use of child victimization in court. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded numerous grants, and has received many national and international prizes. She has been a consultant to numerous government agencies and governments across the world regarding policies as well as research on children as victims within the legal system. She acts as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has been a member of numerous professional organizations, such as those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and also the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of the The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division, as well as three Divisions: the Child and Family Practice and Policy Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
